The Pousadas de Portugal are a chain of over 40 exclusive hotels, located throughout Portugal, and which originated in the 1940’s. Their very name is synonymous with a unique form of quality accommodation, where a warm welcome and personal service await every guest.

All the Pousadas have their own restaurant, specialized in regional and local cuisine and wines, as well as offering an international menu.



There are two types of Pousadas;

Historical Pousadas, which are located in national monuments, convents, castles, or fortresses;
Regional Pousadas, which are found in areas of spectacular natural or historic beauty.
