The Porto
SantaMaria Hotel is located right by the ocean, where the most
important naval station of the island once stood, in the heart
of the historical centre of Funchal and close to the street that
gave it its name, one of the oldest streets in the city.
The location of the hotels, in a lovely garden setting gives guests the best of both worlds the atmosphere of a resort with easy access to Funchalâs seafront promenade and the city centre, where most of the islandâs museums and historical buildings are to be found. Next to the Hotel Porto SantaMaria is the Forte de São Teo Teago, a beautiful fortress built during the Spanish occupation of Portugal at the beginning of the 17th cent

Porto SantaMaria aim to evoke the same atmosphere as the
seafront hotels of the Riviera, where the influence of the sea
and the cruise liners stopping at the port can be clearly felt.
All prices stated are in £ Sterling per person per night inclusive of breakfast local taxes and services.
